How my 11 year old son attracted ‘Po’

I love my children. I love being a father. I won’t deny it’s been tough at times, but the pay offs make it all worth it!

So anyway, I started my own journey with abundance and the law of attraction years ago. Though I didn’t really gain an understanding of it until recently, I’ve been “dropping seeds” on my son, Naquan, since he was a baby. I’m encouraging as much as possible. There are many things they introduce me to, and I remain open to respect their space. I AM NOT into Yugi Oh, lol.

Well, Naquan came to me a few months ago saying he wanted a turtle. A turtle, a beagle, an iguana, a husky, a golden retriever, a horse and a BMW… no kidding. This little guy wants the world. I started the habit of fostering the law of pen and paper with him, so every time he came with something I told him to write it down. Then I told to him to jot down EVERY detail he could think of.

He wound up narrowing his pet list down to a beagle and a turtle. Just to show a little of his prowess. After writing down his list of pets, we were at the library a few days later getting books on each one. He loves reading. Something he gets from his mother, lol. So, he starts talking about getting a box turtle and the beagle. Did you know they’re great hunting dogs? My son taught me that! He wants one or both for his birthday and drops his seeds every chance he gets.

I had to stop him yesterday. We were visiting a relative, who used to keep pets like fish, lizards, snakes… the stuff you need tanks for. At the moment, he’s getting rid of some of that stuff to make room for new furniture, and he doesn’t have any of the pets anymore. So, Naquan jumps at the chance to get the tank. There’s also a small table that would be perfect for the tank. He immediately begins making arrangements. I mean, you would have thought the little bugger already had a turtle. He didn’t and I wasn’t planning on getting him one until his birthday, which is soon. There was still no need to get the tank at that moment, so I advised him against it.

I start saying things like, “No, you don’t need it right now. It’s not going anywhere. Wait until you get the turtle, then worry about the tank. Don’t put your cart before your horse… yada yada yada…” He was a bit upset, but not worried because nothing I said pointed to him NOT getting the turtle. We left my cousin’s and went home. Nothing special right. Same thing I thought.

His mother shows up around 10pm last night. She called and told him to come outside because she had something for him. We were both a little confused because of the hour. She’s called that late before to talk to him, but she’s never come that late… at least not these days, lol.

He and I both assumed something was wrong because this was an odd visit, even for his mother. When he came back up stares my draw dropped.

He was holding a small glass box with Po, his baby box turtle staring right at me…
